AirAsia’s operations in Kota Kinabalu International Airport will be operating out of Terminal 1 effective 1 December 2015, marking a close to the airline group’s operations at Terminal 2 for the past 12 years.
AirAsia currently operates 504 weekly flights to and from Kota Kinabalu International Airport, and all the existing flight schedules for both domestic and international flights remain the same even after the move to Terminal 1.
All AirAsia guests departing or landing into Kota Kinabalu were informed of the move from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1, which is 4km away from each other.
The final flights to land into Terminal 2 on 30th November 2015 were flights AK5134 from Kuala Lumpur and AK238 from Hong Kong, and the final flight to depart from Terminal 2 on 30th November 2015 was AK6359 flying to Kuching.
Please do note that there will however be six (6) aircrafts that will land in Terminal 1 tonight:
